With their third release A Million Miles of Green the Boise, Idaho based progressive, social dance quartet
Methods of Dance has started on a journey to reach the world. Along with the music of the self-titled first release and the
second release Justice, MOD is ready to make you sweat!!
Since their formation in the spring of 1984 members Todd Dunnigan (keyboards), Thomas J. Keithly the II (guitar), Corey Stoutenburg
(bass) and Pete Weaver (drums) have worked hard fine tuning their talents. 'The music is a group effort,' Tom says 'A lot of our
lyrics in our originals relate to day-to-day situations.'
'The important thing is not to be just another human jukebox,' Todd said 'You've got to do something original if you want to make it last.'
Cynthia J. Kludt of Seattle's Rocket feels that 'without the emphasis on electronics the music is allowed to dominate. Such
differences in musical content accentuate the band's versatility. The sound is now - hip music for hip times.'
Todd and Pete have composed and performed music for television commercials, summer stock theater productions and the Idaho Shakespeare
Festival, while Corey's exstensive musical experience includes playing trumpet with an Alaskan opera company. Tom, who fronts the
band, has held a prominent position in a number of local bands. With the recent addition of Douglas P. Carnie (sound, lights, promo)
the band is ready to branch out from it's Boise roots.
"We have a unique sound, not too heavily musical or philisophical" Corey says, "It's fun music...it's a nice blend"
